Dr. Barbara Reinhold has spent the last twenty years helping individuals and organizations figure out how to keep people developing their skill and feeling maximally productive—to everyone’s advantage!
She received her doctorate from Northeastern University, with concentrations in counseling psychology, organizational development and leadership studies. She is also a licensed mental health counselor and trained in transactional analysis, systems theory and neurolinguistic programming. Barbara sees clients in her home office in Easthampton, MA , and offers ongoing coaching and counseling sessions around the world by phone. She is also available for individual follow-up coaching as part of her organizational consultations.
She is frequently called upon by both large and small organizations to consult around issues of morale, talent development and retention, change management, team-building, employee productivity, stress reduction, workplace renewal, values-based leadership and management, the multigeneration workplace, and diversity as an essential business strategy. She also brings direct experience helping organizations create and develop women’s leadership initiatives. Her client list is long and varied, including major corporations, small and mid-sized businesses, educational organizations, professional associations, civic groups, women’s organizations, government agencies, hospitals, colleges and universities and other non-profit organizations. Barbara’s articles can frequently be seen on Monster.com and other online venues. She has also had her own radio show and has made more than 100 television and radio appearances in recent years. She created an audio and video tape with Michael Toms of New Dimensions about the devastating effects of workplace dissatisfaction and stress.
Her first book, Toxic Work, was translated into five languages, and was the occasion for many of her media appearances.
Free to Succeed: Designing the Life You Want in the New Free Agent Economy (Plume 2001) is Barbara’s second book, particularly designed for people wanting to do things their own way, either full-time or on the side.
